Most tourists select an all-inclusive resort for their trips to Jamaica. Couple is the oldest and best of the lot. The Couples chain has four resorts in Jamaica - two in Negril: Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril and two in Ocho Rios: Couples Tower Isle and Couples San Souci. Couples Swept Away
Swept Away is the largest of the Couples resorts. Located on Seven Mile Beach in Negril, it's a true tropical paradise. The older section has the Atrium Suites - two-story, two up and two down, with balconies, hammocks, and no television. |

Couples Tower Isle
Couples Tower Isle was the first of the resorts and my introduction to Jamaica. It's essentially a big boxy hotel with its primary feature being the nude island. The first set of pictures is from that initial visit in August 1982. The resort has changed significantly since then, but the island vibe remains. |
